A2 / B2 / C2 / E2 (Standard)
Control Head:
- Some A2, B2, C2 or E2 heads may have buttons installed in the
plugged spots, depending on what the individual radio code plug allows.
A4 / B4 / C4 / E4 (Rotary)
Control Head:
A5 / B5 / C5 / E5 (Standard
or Enhanced) Control Head:
A7 / B7 / C7 / E7 (Standard
or Enhanced) Control Head:
- The full size keys are also used on the A9, B9, C9 and E9 control
heads.
- The rocker keys are also used on the A9, B9, C9 and E9 control
heads with the newer plastic fronts.
- Only the conventional model numbers are shown in the above table
to save space. The trunking models shown above each control head face
drawing also apply.
- Keep in mind that the code plug determines which control head
type the radio can use. For example, even if you were to replace the
blank hole plugs in a B2 control head with keys, the radio's B2 code
plug would still not let you use them. The same thing holds true if you
put a control head with A7 front plastic on a radio with an A5 code
plug.
- Some B2/C2/E2/A5/B5/C5/E5/A7/B7/C7/E7control heads have DIM and
HOME printed on the front plastic (as shown in the above examples) and
some control heads do not. There are keys
with DIM and HOME printed directly on the key for the control heads
without the printed labels. There is a blank key for the control heads with the
printed labels.
- The A4/B4/C4/E4 control heads have unique DIM and HOME keys.
- Standard, Rotary
and Enhanced are the RSS settings for
each type of control head. The Rotary is
always an A4, B4, C4 or E4. The radio's code plug determines the
control head type for Standard or Enhanced (A5/B5/C5/E5/A7/B7/C7/E7). I do not
know for sure, but I do not think there are any Enhanced
B2, C2 or E2 control heads (the radio's code plug would determine
this).
- The keys and knobs above with labels are dedicated to those
functions and can not be changed in the RSS.
